Who we are

AI Agent Governance is an independent research project that maintains a public database of AI agent behavioral incidents, a behavioral pattern library, and related editorial content. The site is operated at agentgovernance.org.

Data we collect

Newsletter subscriptions

When you subscribe to the AI Agent Governance newsletter, we collect your email address. This data is transmitted to and stored by our email service provider, Beehiiv, which processes subscriptions, sends emails, and manages unsubscribe requests on our behalf.

We use double opt-in confirmation: after you enter your email, you will receive a verification email. Your subscription is only activated after you confirm via that email.

Contact form submissions

When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content. This data is transmitted via Postmark for email delivery. We do not store contact form submissions in a database — they are delivered as email and retained only in our inbox.

Incident submissions

Incident submissions through the site are stored in our database for editorial review and potential publication. Submitted incidents may include descriptive details you provide. We do not require personal information to submit an incident.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data including pages visited, time on site, and referral sources. This data is processed by Google under their privacy policy. No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics by us.

Server logs

Our hosting provider may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps, user agents) as part of normal operations. These logs are used for security and infrastructure purposes and are not shared with third parties.

How we use your data

• Email addresses — solely to send the newsletter you subscribed to. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for marketing purposes.
• Contact form data — solely to respond to your inquiry.
• Analytics data — to understand site usage and improve content.

Data retention

Newsletter subscriber data is retained by Beehiiv until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every newsletter email. Upon unsubscription, your email is removed from active lists per Beehiiv's retention policy.

Cookies
